Started the day at the visitor centre entrance to the dam wall, had cuckoo calling and a couple of red legged partridge.
South dam wall car park had female goosander and a roe deer.
Pow hill was a bit more productive with crossbill, siskin and red squirrel.
Blanchland moors grey partridge.
Edmundbuyers had ring ouzel, wheatear and a few red grouse with chicks.
Winnow hills had 3 singing tree pipits and 3 cuckoo.
Derwent hide had 4 wigeon, 4 goosander, 6 great crested grebe and 2 common sandpipers.
